The month of summer camps!

Welcome June and all your craziness of camp schedules!
Plus voice recitals and a little bit of fun :)
We got to see the musical, "Matilda", because Scott was playing in it when it came to the Lied.
Elise had her final voice recital of the year.
Adrienne is working in Vietnam for the summer and occasionally sends us pics. This was her "buddy" that she sees on her running route. Adrienne loves Vietnam. She is learning the language and meeting new people... and working way too hard... but I am confident she will figure out a balance soon!
Elise picked up a job gardening for a week while one of my co-workers was out of town. She is a great gardener and spends one or two mornings a week out at Terpsma's helping out.
VBS 2017- Fun Maker Factory was huge this year with almost 400 children and 180 volunteers.
 Here's Elise with her crew.
Elise was also a praise team leader this year- she helped lead actions.
In the afternoons, she went on our youth mission camp called, "Up-In-Out". In Up-In-Out, students "reach 'up' to God, 'in' to discern where God is calling them and 'out' to serve others". They visit many of our church mission partners in Lincoln and either are educated about them or serve there.
Father's Day brought new t-shirts for Scott.
We enjoyed a gorgeous Nebraska day at Terpsma's farm for a church picnic.
Then we jumped in to our music and drama camp for 1st-12th graders.
63 campers learned the musical, "The Amazing Grace Race", in a week!
This was at dress rehearsal for the musical on Friday night. Elise was "Coach Kate".
And here they are this morning singing in worship.
And finally, last night we went to Tim and Carol's for a pre-4th of July party.
And to celebrate Marie's birthday.
Another beautiful day for swimming...
and yard games with the cousins.
Guess what we're doing this afternoon? Watching movies and resting.
June you were truly amazing. Here's hoping July is just as good.
