On July 4th, Elise and I drove to Minnesota to pick up my mom.
Of course, we made one pit stop at the Mall of America
Then we picked up Grammy and headed back to Lincoln.
We stopped in Mason City for the night and had some great Mexican food.
The next day we got up and headed for home. We stopped in at Elk Horn, Iowa
to stretch our legs and have lunch. ALWAYS STOP HERE!

Eat at the Flour Mill- it is delicious.
You can't miss it because it's the same exit that advertises for the
Dutch Windmill every other mile.
We entertained Grammy pretty well. We saw a movie, went to the
Quilt Museum, went to Morrill Hall and ate lots of awesome food!
While Grammy was visiting us, Eliot and Adrienne were traveling.
This pic is actually Adrienne working. Look how happy she is with her students and their families!
And then, she traveled to a resort in Thailand to get some much needed rest.
It looked beautiful! But, it still does not make me want to get on an
airplane for that many hours of travel.

Eliot and Jack drove to LA. They had a great time sight seeing and enjoying each others company!
Then, Scott, Elise and I drove Grammy back to her house and we went to Cokato to spend a few days. Scott and I celebrated our 25th anniversary while we were there. We spent the day in St. Cloud looking at our first house and the crappy rentals that we lived in, and then stopped in the music building and visited with the secretary. We had a nice dinner at a restaurant along the river.
Dad and Linda took us on a sight seeing tour around Lake Mille Lacs,
and then we worked on a really hard puzzle and ate some great food.
