We've arrived!!

We are in London with Adrienne! We were a little worried that we would not be able to catch our connecting flight in chigago due to a mechanical malfunction on the plane coming in to Lincoln, but no worries as tootsie is a champion runner in the airport! We literally ran to get our connection as they were holding the plane for us for 10 minutes. Elise seemed to have a natural traveling instinct and knew where we were going. She flew up the escalator with her suitcase turned the corner and when I was sure the gate was close by yelled for her to run and tell them I was coming. Champion. 

Neither one of us could sleep in the plane until we almost got to Heathrow. Elise slept for about 40 minutes and I thought that maybe we weren't going to get to enter the country as the customs officials were going to deem her to "too crabby to enter", but she managed to pull it together and on the other side was a little pick me up:

We had a great day of finding our hotel, eating lots of food, riding on a double decker bus (which promptly lulled Elise to sleep) and visiting Adrienne's neighborhood and apartment. We are so happy to be together!!
