So much has been happening the past couple of weeks. We have decided it's time to do some home projects. We are starting with the foundation. Thrasher will be here the end of November to redo two walls, put in an egress window and waterproof the entire basement. We have been working to get everything out of the basement. Not a fun job, but a necessary one.
I don't have any pics of Eliot (of course) but he is thriving at school! He is working hard and going to class and doing lots of homework. He's also helping me landscape the front yard. And, after working two years at Scheels, he has decided to move on and is starting at the Gap this week. He really wanted to move into sales so that he can gain some other fashion experience. I am proud of him for making positive changes where needed and for doing his homework!
Elise has been loving middle school. I have to make a concentrated effort to keep track of where she needs to be everyday and what time. Here she is watching the Husker Homecoming parade, (let's not talk about football, it's a sore subject around here.)

Elise is on two youth praise teams on Wednesday nights. This was her vocal team last week. She also plays guitar on another team. She just got a new electric guitar that she loves playing in the band!

Elise has been working at the farm getting her pumpkins ready and helping to close down the gardens. Here's she is taking the produce up to the shed.

She stopped to watch Daisy chase some decoys in the pond.

Here is a sample of the pumpkins that she grew this summer.

We invited some friends out to the farm to take pumpkins home.

Adrienne just started school on Monday and is loving it! She wrote this in an email to me today," Class last night was awesome, there are about a million
different people from different countries all around the world so I
learned a lot about how primary education works in places besides the US. It's
pretty great!!" This is her roommate Alysha. She is from Canada and studying law. They have been having a blast exploring the city.

These showed up on my desk today- from the hubby who has been working his butt off and is pretty tired.
