Today we went out to the farm to make apple juice. We sampled it, and it was delicious, but it was not for us to drink- we (aka Bob and Elise) will make apple jelly out of the juice later this fall. But the process was so fun! The above video is the very first apples going into the press. We got much faster and went through about 12 crates of apples in two hours. Here's some more pics:
There were a few families out helping and the kids all took turns doing the different jobs. Here's another short video:
Elise also got to drive the tractor up to the field to dump the apple
"waste". She took Hadley with her to help. Hadley could be her sister
they look so similar!
They finished the day with a boat ride on the pond.
