In the past week, Elise and I have either attended or participated in 6 Christmas concerts!
Last Friday night, the youth choir went caroling at Tabitha.
Afterwards, they hung out at a coffee house for a bit. They didn't have any fun at all...
On Saturday, Scott gave the pre-performance talk at the Lied for the Canadian Brass and then we attended that concert. It was really fun! They are a very active and hilarious group. On Sunday, a friend and I drove to Kansas City for some girl time. We went to a Christmas concert at the Church of the Resurrection. It was very well done with dancers, a 100 member choir, orchestra, handbells and dramatic elements such as ropes dropping from the ceiling and drum lines. And of course, baby Jesus who managed to not cry one bit for the 20 minutes he was on stage!
On Monday night, I took Elise to the LSE high school holiday concert which was very good and gave her an idea of what to expect in a couple of years. On Tuesday night, she had her holiday concert at school. I couldn't get any good pics of that 100+ member choir. She is in the front row on the end in the navy dress.
And then Wednesday night was our Christmas Extravaganza at church where all of our Christmas program kiddos and adult choir members perform. Elise was asked to be part of the narration that tied it all together. They did a really nice job.
Afterwards, there was a cookie reception and Elise's confirmation group got hats from their leader. So cute!
And hilarious.

Our last event is tomorrow when Elise goes caroling with her voice studio.
