Happy Birthday, Jesus!

But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid; for see—I am bringing you good news of great joy for all the people: to you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is the Messiah, the Lord. This will be a sign for you: you will find a child wrapped in bands of cloth and lying in a manger.
Luke 2:10-12

We have had a great few a days preparing for Christmas!
Here's Elise finishing the cake decorating...
Elise and I spent many hours of rehearsals getting ready for the family services on Christmas Eve. We sang an opening song with the Bostrom and Schmit families and she was an adorable angel in the drama......
Adrienne came home for a few days!!!!
We've been watching sports and Christmas movies...
Last night we dressed up for church...
Between services we had soup and cake and opened sibling and grandparent presents. This was Elise's first year of staying up for the Candlelight service...
So much love :)
This morning the kids opened presents from us and vice versa. They did such a nice job shopping for us and spoiled us with their hard earned money- (well, we helped Elise pay for hers but she was just as thoughtful picking out what she wanted to buy.) :)

Elise loved her One Direction presents!
Eliot got clothes and outerwear from his list...
Adrienne is saving for her next overseas adventure...
Today everyone is in their plaid shirts and are enjoying the hot chocolate bar...
What a great day home all by ourselves, eating, watching TV, doing puzzles and snuggling. When we're all together it can be loud and messy, but it's the best gift I could have.
Wishing you all a peaceful and love-filled Christmas week!
