We are officially on summer vacation! The time will go fast as the first day of school is on August 13th. For our first weekend of summer, we have dedicated our time to CLEANING OUT THE CRAP... how does one family accumulate so much unnecessary stuff? I try not to buy much, yet here we are with a whole pile for the neighbors garage sale and a full garbage can... and we still have two days of cleaning to go- yikes!
In other news, Elise has a double ear infection, a sinus infection and tonsilitis, and Eliot is having muscle spasms in his back. Hopefully, they can recover and be good to go for the first week of summer activities. Eliot wants to do well in cross country this year, which means he has to work hard all summer long. Practices start Monday morning, (yes, Memorial Day), at 7am. Besides working out, Eliot is most excited for time in Minnesota with his cousins. He will also be in charge of babysitting Elise and cooking family dinner three times a week. Elise and Eliot have a whole list of activities planned for the summer: bike rides, lunch at restaurants, pool visits, museum passes, movie viewings, etc. Elise is excited for WAM Camp, VBS and going to church camp. Neither Adrienne or Eliot ever wanted to go to camp, so this will be a first for all of us. The house will be super quiet for one whole week without my baby.
