8 Years Old

Today, my baby turned 8! I can remember so much about the day you were born, Elise... interrupting Adrienne's sleepover to go to the hospital... stopping at a friend's house to drop off Eliot and Adrienne... but first, your dad took a few minutes to yell at the boom car passing by our house and pack his suit and trombone for the gig he would have in a few hours... we barely got to the hospital in time- you were almost born in the car!... that's what happens when you have your bible study moms praying for a quick delivery (should have added "in the hospital")... holding my perfectly chubby, 9 pound, 4 oz baby girl, who had tons of hair and a perfect disposition...


8 Birthday highlights:
-On Sunday we had a puppy party with 4 best friends, (Maddie, Lilly, Becca, Annika) :) We made clay puppies and doghouses, ate a beautiful puppy cake and played some puppy games.
-Then we went to McDonald's for your-choice birthday dinner.

-This morning we ALL woke up at 6:45 so you could open your presents before Eliot went to school...

-Adrienne brought Val's for lunch at school...
-A special delivery came for you after school...

-You opened cards from grandma's and grandpa's and friends from church...
-We ate birthday brownies and you blew out your candles and didn't singe your hair this time :)...
-Then it was off to church for more birthday love!
