We have had a wonderful time, filled with family and memories, but it is now time to come home. We have spent the last couple of nights at my dad's house because the plumbing went out at the cabin. No big deal for us, tomorrow, dad will know how big of deal it is for him. Also, the pontoon has been in the shop twice while we've been here and again, dad will know tomorrow how much that will cost him. But other than those two changes, we have had a fabulous time! The kids didn't need the boat to enjoy the water. Elise must have jumped off the dock 300 times in the past few days and Adrienne and Eliot took the rafts out to the middle of the lake and messed around. Tonight, Elise put her life jacket on and swam out to join them. She only lasted about 15 minutes and then came back for more jumping. Eliot stayed out the longest, until the loons came within 20 feet of him and he paddled like crazy toward home :)
We spent a great deal of our time with family this year. Tom and Lynn came from Montana and spent a week here and we met my mom in Minneapolis for a day. As we've been reminiscing with family I came across a couple of pictures that I had forgotten about. The cabin was built in 1968, I was born in 1971... here I am...
Here I am with my grandma...
Here is the cabin right after it was built, and then today...
Here is my dad fishing with me, and again with Elise, in the same spot...

Great pictures Julie! It looks like you all had a great, relaxing time! =)
ReplyDeleteI LOVE the photos, especially your bath tub! Great idea with the 2 photos, with you and Elise on the dock with your dad. Super idea!
