Elise started off the school year with our tradition of watching the UNL marching band expo.
The next night was the UNL Big Red Singers!
Elise has a ton of homework this year. A majority of it comes from the newspaper class.

We have tried to make Fridays a mixture of relaxing and celebrating a well earned break with getting a head start on weekend homework. Our favorite thing to do is to head to GoldenRod bakery to get a treat in a pink box and take it next door to the coffeehouse where we hang out for a bit. She tells me all about her day and then starts her homework while I do some reading. She always catches me taking her picture!

Here's the first day of Sunday School. Elise is on the high school team for openings.
We had a huge block party that day and I loved this picture of Elise learning how to tie quilts for Lutheran World Relief.
