This year we took a short road trip to Kansas City for a little summer break. We thought a Royals baseball game would be fun... but we were wrong. It was way too hot and we left at the 5th inning...
We did some shopping and Elise figured out she is caught between a 4-year old and a teenager. After making a Build-A-Bear she shopped in Sephora.
Scott and I celebrated our 24th anniversary. We went out to eat, saw a movie at Cinetopia and stopped at a coffee house to enjoy the great evening.
We visited the Money Museum which is free and very small but well worth the visit!
If you go here first, you can fill out a survey and get a BOGO for the National WWI museum that is right down the block.
After a good day of museums and BBQ for lunch,
we went to the Rock & Brews pub. It was casual and tasty.
Before we went home, Eliot wanted to visit the Scheels store in Overland Park. The new Lincoln store will be exactly like this one. We think it will be fun with their fish and ferris wheel and free FUDGE samples!
When our vacation was over, Elise, Scott and I came home and Eliot left for Minnesota to visit cousin Jack.
Then, guess who we picked up at the airport last night??
Adrienne's home!
This morning the girls were bathroom buddies :)
And this afternoon we got this text from Eliot who took Jack to NY City.
Happy Vacation everyone!
