London - Day 4- Elise's 12th Birthday

Today Elise turned 12 and what better way to celebrate than to see the sets of the Harry Potter movies? This is how we felt about that...

We woke up and had two breakfasts to make up for yesterday, (one at a coffee shop down the street and then a second in our hotel). Then we made the trip to Leavesden, UK, where the Warner Bros. Studio Tours are located.

Since it was Elise's birthday, she was chosen to open the doors of the tour to the Great Hall! That may have been her highlight of the day :)

The tour is amazing and consists of actual props, costumes, sets, behind the scenes footage and so much more.

You can learn how to ride a broom to play quidditch or practice the art of moving your wand...

You can pose at different scenes and act out your favorite parts...

You can see the famous train and feel what it was like to ride in it...

We stopped half way through and had lunch in the cafe, and sampled ButterBeer. Then headed to the outdoor area.

The tour ended with an area dedicated to animatronic creatures and characters and a giant model of the hogwarts castle.

Adrienne was the perfect person to take this tour with Elise. Anyone who knows Adrienne will remember how she read the books in a day when they were first released. Eliot reminded Elise that Adriennes bedroom walls were covered with magazine pics of Hermoine and all other HP highlights and really is the queen of Harry Potter love in our house. 

But Elise... You are definitely the princess!
