Italy Part 4 - 3rd Day in Rome

Monday, December 17
On our last day in Rome, we enjoyed breakfast in our hotel and then toured the Pantheon.
None of the nativities have a baby yet...

Here is a picture of our hotel. It is the middle building.

We walked by many pastry shops with displays in their windows. Here were Bethlehem villages, complete with Mary, Joseph and baby Jesus.

After checking out of our hotel we made our way to the Colosseum. We passed through the Ancient Ruins and ended up on the back side of the Colosseum where we had lunch in a gladiator themed restaurant. Then we took a taxi to the airport to catch our flight to Rome. Our taxi driver was the only person we met in Rome that did not speak any English at all. Luckily, Adrienne can speak enough Italian to get us food and where we need to be ;)

When we got back to her apartment in Milan, we dropped off our luggage and headed to the grocery store to get chips and vino to go with the panini's that we picked up at the corner deli shop. After dinner, I spent the evening resting and reflecting on our glorious weekend in Rome, while Adrienne packed up her room and did laundry.
