Today Elise swam in the All-City Swim Meet at the Devaney Sports Center here in Lincoln. We love the Irving team that she swam with this summer. Somehow between getting up to swim every morning, and then working hard and improving each stroke, the kids still manage to have a blast and truly want to be there. Elise had a great first season. She was nervous today when we got into that big arena and teared up and didn't want me to leave, but coach Mary came over and gave her a hug and a little pep talk and then it was time to get in the water and get warmed up!

You can't really see it, but this is Elise's Medley Relay. She is on the left in lane 7 waiting to dive in. Her teammate is currently in 4th place, but they made up time and came in 2nd.

Elise's stats today were:
Medley Relay: 1:58.06, 2nd Place
Freestyle Relay: 1:56.03, 7th Place
Individual Breaststroke: 34.48, 10th Place (She cut 2.5 seconds off her last time!)
Individual Freestyle: I didn't get her time but she won her heat.
You did great, Tootsie! We are so proud of you for your whole first season.
