Elise really wanted to carve a pumpkin this year. A couple of weeks ago I took her to the pumpkin patch to get pumpkins... the squirrels ate two of those and I put the other one in the garage. Then I took that one out of the garage a couple of days before Halloween and put it on the front step, hoping the squirrels would leave it alone... some kids added it to their smashing-pumpkin party at the park one night. So then we went to the grocery store and got a pumpkin, came home, carved it, lit it and kept it inside until Halloween night. That was a lot of work to carve a pumpkin- but doesn't she look happy?
